Electronic Statements Tips, Info & FAQs
Banking statements delivered via e-mail
E-Statements are electronic statements that can be viewed online using Online Banking. They’re the same as the account statements that come to you by mail, except you control when and where you receive them.
3 Reasons to Enroll in E-Statements
Identity theft is no joke. It’s a serious threat facing anyone living in the digital age. As you send more of your data into cyberspace, it’s important to protect your information. Account statements are full of sensitive data, so it makes sense that you should control when and where you send that information. Here are three reasons to switch to E-Statements:
1. They are safer than paper statements
Mistakes happen, and paper statements can be lost, stolen, or even delivered to the wrong address. On the other hand, E-Statements are harder to misplace or reveal.
2. You decide when and where to view them
E-Statements are more convenient than paper statements. You get on-demand access from the comfort of your device.
3. E-Statements are eco-friendly
Not only are E-Statements faster, more secure, and more convenient than paper statements, but they’re also eco-friendly and reduce clutter and waste.
Will I receive a notification when my statement is available?
Yes. You will receive an e-mail notification that your statement is ready to view if you supplied the correct e-mail address. If you change your e-mail address, you must notify United Texas of the change to continue receiving statement notifications.
How can I view my statement?
Open your e-mail notification and click on the Online Banking Login link. Login to Online Banking, click on the “Services” menu option, then click on the “View Statements” link. You must have Adobe Acrobat Reader to open the statement.
What if I don’t have Adobe Acrobat Reader?
Adobe Acrobat Reader is free software that you can download from the E-Statement e-mail notification. Click on the link to download Adobe Acrobat.
How do I change my e-mail address?
You may update your e-mail address when logged in to Online Banking by clicking on the “User Profile” menu tab. From there, choose “Settings” and then go to “Account Settings” and click on “Edit E-mail.”
