To make it even more convenient for members to discard sensitive documents, United Texas now offers year-round shredding at our Headquarters location at 5500 UTSA Boulevard. Beginning April 1, 2019, members may bring in one Banker’s Box (12″ x 10″ x 15″) of items for shredding per year.
Here’s how it works.
Bring your box to the Headquarters Branch and check in with one of our employees. We’ll verify your membership, and then an employee will take your items to a locked shred bin in a secure area. We will then return your box to you. The secure area is limited to authorized personnel, so you will not be able to watch your items being shredded. The bin capacity at our Headquarters location requires us to limit shred amounts, so there may be instances where the shred bins are at capacity.
